Manage your time efficiently, especially if you want to both enjoy home stay life and do well in class.

Thu from Winter 2015

I found my Japanese improving significantly through living with my host family, since what I learn in class could be practiced right away. Not only could I have a closer look at the Japanese culture and people, we made unforgettable bonds.

I looked for a challenge and KCP certainly provided that for me.

Derrick from Winter 2015

I chose this program because of the well favored reviews of the program on various sites as well as the intensity provided by the classes.

The most interesting and productive aspect was just how intense the program is to others.

Taylor from Winter 2015

The high expectations brought on by the teachers really pushes students to put in their best efforts.

I would tell everyone thinking of attending KCP to jump in with both feet and go to Japan with an open mind. You never know what you'll experience next!

Brittany from Winter 2015

I loved the fact that teachers cycled out, we weren’t stuck with one teaching style. I also enjoyed the essay writing on Fridays because it allowed me to have a visual of the parts of the language I didn’t understand.

I enjoyed cooking curry with other college students because it gave me a chance to talk to Japanese people my age.

It is a good idea to study about 6 months in school or on your own in order to make sure you are not left behind by the fast pace of the class.

The experience was above and beyond my expectations.

Everyone says they will do it, and not a lot actually do (myself included) but I believe you should work as hard as you can before coming here. Some people have no problem but KCP can be a rude awakening for the less diligent students. That being said, for those with a goal and the heart to succeed, this school will give its all to you and take your Japanese to another level.

I liked how the class was always engaging.

Syedali from Fall 2014

The BBQ event along with the Kanazawa trip after midterm tests were very nice events. They allowed the students to mingle with the teachers and with each other despite being in different classes.

Micaela from Fall 2014

Well for those considering the program of they’re thinking about going then it would be a good idea to memorize hiragana and katakana as well as start writing out some kanji before coming.

Testimonials

At first I thought KCP was too good to be true because I could not find a single negative review anywhere. Every comment I found was positive. Turns out there’s a very good reason for this 🙂
