I really liked that way of teaching. Even though it requires a lot of studying I really enjoyed that aspect.

The literature club in particular significantly improved my reading and speaking ability. It also built confidence in my skills and encouraged me to take on bigger challenges.

You have to make an effort to study and do your homework to keep up, but it will be worth it and you won’t learn Japanese faster.

Being able to consult with teachers anytime was really nice and helped me shape what I want to do in Japan.

Classes were really great. the lower levels were particularly helpful for hammering home the basics of Japanese grammar, conversation and pronunciation.

English support with Kato Sensei is also a both a great help and real delight.

The fact that we were only allowed to speak Japanese helped me learn the vocabulary and grammar faster; as well as helped me make conversations.

I liked learning the history and culture of Japan from a native and going to places and seeing things I would have otherwise missed on my own.

The most productive aspect is probably having 6 hours of lessons a day. It’s a bit tough but I actually enjoyed it the most as I am interested in learning Japanese.

Speaking with Japanese college students was a great opportunity to meet people and practice conversation skills, and I wish we could have spent more time with them.
