I really enjoyed a lot of my lectures.

Alexandria from Winter 2026

Which events or activities did you find the most satisfying and why?

I really enjoyed a lot of my lectures. I also enjoyed going to Enoshima. It was nice to interact with my classmates outside of class.

What were the most productive and interesting aspects of the program for you? The least interesting and productive?

I would say the grammar and kanji lessons were the most productive for me. The least interesting were the daily Kaji tests.. I felt I never had enough time for them.

What activities or materials did you find most helpful (e.g., pair work, drill practice, tests, small group sessions, textbooks, games)?

I think speaking in class and the essay practice was the most helpful.

Any suggestions for improving class activities or materials?

More conversation practice and less reading from the textbook.

Any comments or tips for prospective/new KCP students?

Try to study as much as you can outside of class and use Japanese everyday!

Testimonials

I selected it because I wanted a reputable and intensive program that would take a student who’s no longer affiliated with a college. KCP was the only program I found that satisfied this criteria. It also helped a lot that my friend recommended it.
