Where do I start? This school is so amazing.
Which events or activities did you find the most satisfying and why?
Where do I start? This school is so amazing. It was a perfect mix between learning Japanese and its culture as well. I loved the excursions as well. I enjoyed the class activities, always being involved as a student in talking to the teacher, my classmates. We were not just sitting there listening to the teacher but always had to participate in a circle. That made the class come alive and interesting.
What were the most productive and interesting aspects of the program for you? The least interesting and productive?
There were no aspects that were not interesting. I really liked how diverse the program was as well as the style of the different teachers. Like mentioned above, it was an amazing experience.
What did you find most valuable in the Culture Course?
It was well organized and it was amazing seeing our teachers in Jeans and not in their suits and ties. They made the activities interesting and I learned so much about different things I didn't know like for example the beans and saying good bye to the winter or the black lava eggs.
Any comments or tips for prospective/new KCP students?
This school is tough and hard. You will have moments like me where you ask yourself why you did this. I came home twice and cried my eyes out. I wanted to quit. I never worked this hard and I already have a university degree. But I persevered. And, if you do, you will learn more than you thought you ever could. Be ready to work hard but also to be amazed. And don't give up.
