Is There a Faster Way to Select a Date Far in the Future?

Yes. In the calendar tool, click the month and year shown at the top center of the calendar.

This opens a year-selection view. Use the double arrows to move across years, then choose the correct year, month, and date. This is much faster than clicking through each month one at a time.
