When packing clothing and shoes for your study abroad stay in Japan, make sure to bring the proper attire based on what you plan to do, the season of your term of study (i.e. winter clothing or summer clothing), attire for formal and casual gatherings, or outdoor activity. Your footwear must also be appropriate for the type of clothing and activity you plan to take part in. Often times, your schedule at KCP will be quite full, finding the time to fit your studies and other activities may be quite demanding. It’s best to be prepared. But always remember to bring only the necessities and to pack light.

Some of the gadgets and devices we have may not work in some countries if the voltage, plugs, and sockets are not compatible. Most gadgets and devices will work perfectly fine in Japan without an adapter. There are some things however that may not work properly, especially heating devices such as hair dryers and some other electronic devices. It’s best to check on what gadgets, devices and equipment that would not be best used in Japan before your trip for safety reasons.
