It also remains one of our student’s favorite seasons to study the Japanese language. Fall Festivals in Japan
The fall season stretches from mid-November to early December. Tokyo does have great foliage spots, but it's highly recommended to take a 2-3 day side trip to Kyoto. Kyoto is surrounded by mountains and it's much colder and windier than Tokyo, but the leaves are awe-inspiring, particularly the maples which turn either deep red or purple. The traditional setting Kyoto offers makes the fall unmatched here.
