Idaho State University is a state institution at Pocatello, a metropolitan area of about 55,000 nestled in the mountains of southeastern Idaho. ISU’s top-flight programs include business, the health professions, pharmacy, teacher education, engineering, arts and sciences, and technology. ISU provides educational services in Idaho Falls, Twin Falls, Boise, and to outlying communities via cutting-edge remote education technology, to a total of about 13,600 students. The university is also home to the Idaho Museum of Natural History, the ISU Business and Research Park, and the Idaho Accelerator Center. Idaho State University offers majors in French, German, and Spanish, as well as a minor in Russian and courses in Arabic, Japanese, Latin, and Shoshoni. The state-of-the-art language laboratory provides support for these and the opportunity to learn many other languages on a self-paced, individual basis. For outstanding students, a number of scholarships are available for use at ISU or for study-abroad programs. The International Programs and Services office handles Japan study abroad programs. |
